The businesses who advertise with us tend to stay with us

Since 2005 we have been delivering local magazines across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. The businesses who advertise with us tend to stay with us. Not out of loyalty, but because the phone rings.

If you have been paying for clicks from people who live nowhere near you, this is worth twenty minutes of your time.

You only pay for the areas you actually want

Most advertising makes you buy coverage you do not need. You want customers in Horwich and you end up paying to reach half of Greater Manchester.

With us, you cherry pick. If one local area is all your business needs, that is all you pay for. If you want to grow, add areas as you go and take advantage of our multiple booking discounts, which make wider coverage far more affordable than buying each area separately.

We publish across 57 local areas, reaching more than 336,000 homes. You choose which ones.

Every four weeks

A new issue lands on doormats across your areas every four weeks, so you are seen again and again rather than once.

Design from £20

A one off cost, not a monthly one, and a fraction of agency rates.

Two issue minimum

Book two issues to start. Long enough to see a response, short enough to be a fair test.

Your advert designed properly, for less than you would expect

You do not need a design agency and you do not need to arrive with artwork ready.

Our in house design team creates your advert for you. You tell us what matters about your business, and we turn it into something that looks professional sitting alongside the other adverts in the magazine.

Design costs £20 for an eighth, quarter or half page, £30 for a full page and £40 for a double page spread. That is a fraction of what an agency would charge for the same thing, and it is a one off cost rather than something you pay every issue.

If you already have branding you want us to work with, we will use it. And if you just need an existing advert amended rather than redesigned, that is half the price.

Delivered by hand, and you can see where

Plenty of businesses have been burned by leaflet drops that never quite happened.

Every one of our distributors is GPS tracked. Your advert is hand delivered by the same team that has been covering these areas since 2005, and the tracking gives you proof rather than a promise. You know where your advertising went.

That consistency matters more than most people expect. Residents recognise the magazine, they look out for it, and your business becomes familiar rather than a name they have never heard of.

The same team can deliver your leaflets too. If you have a menu, a price list or a seasonal offer, it can go out alongside the magazine on the same round, from around 3p a leaflet. More on leaflet distribution.

Choose the size that suits your business

You do not need the biggest advert. You need the right one.

Eighth page from £39

Our smallest advert, and the easiest way to test an area. Room for your logo, your contact details and a point or two about what you do.

Quarter page

If you are a sole trader or working on the tools, this keeps you comfortably busy without bringing in more work than you can handle.

Half page

You get strong visibility across the area and a noticeably higher response rate.

Full page

You become impossible to miss on the page.

Double page spread

Best if you have a lot to show, several products or services, or you want to run an advertorial that tells your story properly.

Prime pages

Front cover, back cover, inside front, inside back, page three and centre pages. Maximum exposure and the strongest brand recognition in the magazine.

Price shown is for one local area, on a minimum booking of two issues. Advert design is £20 extra, charged once.

Not sure which fits? Our pricing calculator will show you what each option costs in the areas you are interested in.

Choose your advert size, pick your areas, then see your price and order.

Getting started takes three steps

1

Book your advert online

Choose your areas and your size, or call us and we will talk it through.

2

We create your advert

Our design team puts it together and sends it to you to approve.

3

Follow up your new leads

Your advert goes out, and you get on with the part you are good at.

Already advertising? Add a leaflet

Your advert puts you in the magazine. A leaflet puts something in their hand they can keep on the fridge.

The same distributors deliver both, on the same round, so a leaflet costs from around 3p rather than the price of its own delivery team. It works well for a menu, a price list, or an offer with a date on it.

Who magazine advertising works best for

It works particularly well for

Businesses who serve customers in their homes and want to be the name they reach for.

  • Trades and home services
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Garden and outdoor
  • Cleaning and maintenance
  • Restaurants and takeaways
  • Care services
  • Local retail

Not as well for...

Businesses whose customers are spread nationally, or who sell only online. We would rather tell you that now than take a booking that disappoints you.

What our advertisers say

Magazine advertising FAQs

How do I choose which areas to advertise in?

Start with where your customers already come from. Look back at your last twenty jobs or enquiries and see which areas keep appearing, because those are the doormats worth landing on first.

Most businesses begin with one or two areas closest to them, see what comes back, then widen out from there. Because you only pay for the areas you pick, there is nothing wasted while you find your footing. And once you are ready to grow, the discounts start working in your favour, so adding areas costs less than you might expect.

If you are not sure which magazine your customers read, give us a call on 01204 300013. We have been covering these areas since 2005, so we can usually point you in the right direction in a couple of minutes.

Adverts start at £39 for an eighth page in one local area. From there the price depends on two things, the size of your advert and how many areas you want it to appear in.

The more areas you take, the less each one costs you. Book two and your third is free. Book four and two are free. From ten areas upwards a bulk discount applies, rising to 60 per cent if you take all 57 areas.

Advert design is charged separately and starts at £20. You pay it once, whatever happens next, so the same artwork can run in one magazine or all fifty seven at no extra design cost. The pricing calculator will show you an exact figure for the size and areas you have in mind.

Our magazines are published every four weeks, so your advert goes into the next available issue once your artwork is signed off.

The process is quick. You tell us what matters about your business, our design team puts your advert together, and you approve it before anything goes to print. Most adverts are ready to approve within a few working days.

If you are working to a deadline, say so when you book and we will tell you straight away which issue you can make. It is better to know now than to find out later.
